The Kalamazoo Book Arts Center wanted to make an invitation for their upcoming 16th anniversary. They were hosting a gallery opening with a 1950’s theme in a hot pink and black color scheme.

IDEA
With a strong brief, I felt confident with the direction and started researching 1950’s graphics. However, I did convince the committee to switch from a hot pink to a softer blush color. I did this because I did not want the colors to distract from the gallery’s artwork.
